2012 Summer Tour It's that time of year again and the Ladybirds are getting ready to hit the road! Now in its fourth year, the Ladybird Project's summer tour sees our amazing team of artists, performers, musicians and all-round fantastic people bringing the Ladybird's special blend of fun and frolics to festivals and events across the UK. On this page you'll find our schedule so far for 2012. We hope to see you somewhere along the way! We're looking forward to kicking off the season in style at this wonderful family-friendly event, located on an organic farm in Somerset. This will be our 4th year at Sunrise, and we're looking forward to launching our brand new programme of workshops and family cabaret in the Kids' Field. Next we'll be heading to Lancashire's beautiful Ribble Valley for three days of fun with the Beat-Herder crew. A great festival boasting some fantastic musical acts as well as all sorts of weird and wonderful goings-on, it's one of our favourites and we're happy to be returning. The next event on our schedule is Oxfordshire's Truck Festival, now in its 15th year. We've heard lots of great things about this small but perfectly formed event, and look forward to making our debut here in July. Another of the Ladybird's regular festivals, this three day event in the Lake District's beautiful Lowther Deer Park has been a firm favourite since the beginning. We'll be providing a vast array of workshops, games and activities to keep families entertained all night and well into the evening. After last year's successful debut at Y Not Festival, the Ladybird is exciting to be returning to the stunning Peak District with our new programme of workshops and activities for the whole family. Now located on a new site, we're all itching to return to Beacons after unforseeable circumstances last year meant the event didn't go ahead. We'll certainly be doing our bit to make sure this amazing home-grown festival is bigger and better than ever before! Yet another regular feature on the Ladybird's calendar, Solfest's winning combination of family fun, great music and a stunning location on the Solway Firth has had us eager to return year after year. Another new addition to our schedule, Ramsbottom Festival on the outskirts of Greater Manchester looks set to be an excellent way to round off our summer season, with a jam-packed programme of workshops, comedy, music and more. |
