Festivals & Events

Already at festivals throughout the UK people young and old are beginning to recognise the 'big red tent', knowing that they'll find our unique blend of workshops, performance and entertainment inside its walls. We can provide a variety of services for festivals, events and private parties, from a full day programme of workshops inside our custom circus marquee to walkabout activities and performance. For parties, why not ask us to put together a customised line-up of musicians and cabaret artists to provide unique, thrilling entertainment into the early hours? Or for a wedding, why not consider our circus marquee as a venue with a difference, or let us provide a juggling workshop to keep the young – and young at heart – entertained?

Whatever your needs, the Ladybird Project can provide a fun, unique and memorable addition to your event. And don't just take our word for it... here are some of the testimonials left behind on our comments board:

“Best tent ever!” (Sunrise Festival)

“Really cosy with lots going on. A great place to shelter from the rain!” (Glastonbury Festival)

“Fantastic. There's stuff for the kids but we really enjoy it too.” (Solfest)

“One of the best family areas I've seen.” (Solfest)

Corporate bookings

For a teambuilding day with a difference or just a way to spice up your lunch breaks talk to us about our corporate packages. We can tailor programmes lasting between half an hour to a whole day aimed at improving relationships, enhancing communication and encouraging creative exchanges between co-workers. In our workshops, we give people the chance to let their hair down, forget who they are in the office and remember that it's OK to be a little bit silly sometimes. Many of our workshops are specifically designed to help build trust and effective working relationships, while others are simply about building confidence and learning new skills.

Our corporate packages can feature anything from circus skills and drama to crafts and creative writing; please call us for an informal chat about your needs.

Schools, groups and clubs

One of our key aims in the Ladybird Project is to encourage creativity and learning in the wider community, and we specialise in hosting workshops for groups and clubs aimed at all ages, as well as schools and family groups. Our workshops allow people to explore new ways in which to be creative, breaking down social and mental barriers to communication and giving the opportunity to learn new, tangible skills which will stay with them long after the session ends. They are also a chance to be active, try something different and, most importantly, have fun.

Our sessions can focus on a specific theme, such as circus skills, dance or drama, or provide a combination of many. Previous tailored workshops we have run include a 'play in a day' event where attendees create and then perform a piece of theatre of their own devising, and a day of circus skills culminating in a parade. We can create a programme of activities to suit groups of all ages, sizes and budgets – please get in touch to see what we can do for you.

Why the Ladybird?

We believe that we are special because we care about what we do. Because we are a collective of artists and not an agency, all of our performers and workshop facilitators work together to provide the best service to meet your needs. We are all professionals in our fields with many years' experience in performing and leading workshops, and many of us have degree-level qualifications in education and the arts. Because we are a not-for-profit company, everything we do is geared towards supporting local artists and furthering the development of arts within the community, and there is no project too big or small for us to take on.

All of our members are fully CRB-checked and consistently briefed on the most up-to-date health and safety and child protection procedures.
