The Ladybird Project

The Ladybird Project is a Leeds-based social enterprise that supports artists and performers in Leeds. Through a dedicated programme of workshops and events, we facilitate positive working relationships between local artists and provide nation-wide opportunities for our members.

During the summer, we tour the Ladybird marquee around UK festivals and events, giving our members the chance to work and perform on a national scale. During the day, our members and guest artists host workshops, games and happenings, while in the evenings everyone is invited to join our star performers for a sparkling evening of fresh and innovative entertainment.

We aim to develop the arts through encouraging positive, mutually beneficial relationships between artists and the community. Our unique approach offers members the chance to work with other artists and hone their skills, while giving the events we appear at access to a diverse and vibrant community of artists and performers. It has been a proven success: in our first year, scores of projects and working relationships have formed out of the Ladybird while our area has become a firm favourite at festivals, with people returning time and time again to learn something new and experience life as part of our fun, vibrant community.
